Nice to Meet You!
Pearl Kissed is owned by Ellen vanHully-Bronson, an architect who fell in love with the beauty and craft of the visual arts in college. Her unique sense of design draws inspiration from the details of mother nature’s sense of beauty, pattern, and color. Just like in nature, while specific designs may be repeated, no two pieces are ever exactly alike. All designs enjoy a very feminine and elegantly delicate appearance.
Pearl Kissed Jewelry started out as a Mother/daughter partnership between Ellen and Elizabeth in 2004. In 2012 Elizabeth decided to follow her metalsmithing passion and began her own line titled Elizabeth Cary Studios.
Ellen is a licensed architect who fell in love with the beauty and craft of the visual arts at Clemson University where she received a BS in Architecture. Her love of the visual arts and expressive use of color is seen in the jewelry she creates. Ellen continues to learn new techniques in her art and craft by taking continuing education classes in jewelry design, technique and silversmithing.
Pearl Kissed jewelry is made primarily of sterling silver or quality gold filled metals mixed with freshwater pearls, natural gemstones and an occasional sprinkle of Swarovski crystals or unique beads. Inspiration for her designs comes from fashion trends, nature and geometrics. Pearl Kissed jewelry is handcrafted by Ellen utilizing one or more of the following techniques: wire-wrapping, forging, stringing and hand-knotting. The wire wrapping may be a simple single bead wire-wrap to a complex wire-wrapped gemstone with embellishments. Forging is used to make clasps and earwires, as well as some components for bracelets and necklaces. Other pieces may utilize complex or unique stringing methods to achieve the desired effect. The specific technique used is chosen to match the design being created. While specific designs may be repeated, no two pieces are exactly alike due to changes in colors and the combination of materials. Craftsmanship and quality of work is a high priority
Ellen has been in business for over 10 years and has enjoyed a consistent following of repeat clients while cultivating many new ones. Her work stands out as being distinctive in its very romantic and intricately delicate appearance. The quality is exquisite and all of her pieces are backed by a workmanship guarantee.
